Community Associates
Three Community Associates have been hired to facilitate and encourage two-way dialogue between the Pebble Partnership and regional communities surrounding the Pebble Project. We encourage you to contact your corresponding Community Associate to discuss your views and questions about the project.

Sharon Wilson
Native Alaskan Sharon Wilson, currently a resident of Naknek, has also lived in Anchorage and Kokhanok on the shores of Lake Iliamna. Sharon is descended from many generations of commercial fishermen and still actively participates in commercial fishing in Bristol Bay. She has held previous community outreach positions and is particularly excited about working as a Community Associate for the Pebble Partnership because she believes it is important for Alaskans to understand the truth about Pebble Mine in order to make informed decisions.
Sharon covers the communities of: Dillingham, Levelock, South Naknek, New Stuyahok, Igiugig, Manokotak, Twin Hills, King Salmon, Clarks Point
Steven Angasan
Native Alaskan Steven Angasan was raised in South Naknek. A commercial fisherman by trade for over 40 years, and a boat captain for 26, he has also worked as the Tribal Development Director of the Bristol Bay Housing Authority. Significant Achievements there include developing the collaborated effort for start-up of the Southwest Alaska Voc Ed Center in King Salmon, and working on the collaborated development of Boys and Girls Clubs in Dillingham, New Stuyahok, and Naknek.
Steven has prepared community plans and undertaken Indian Reservation Roads planning for the village of Naknek, as well writing grants for tribal clinics, tribal council buildings, and IGAP grants for Naknek Native Village.
Steven covers the communities of: Aleknagik, Togiak, Port Heiden, Egegik, Ekwok, Naknek, Ugashik, Portage Creek, Chignik Lagoon, Chignik Lake, Chignik, Perryville, Ivanof Bay, Pilot Point
Kevin Jensen
A lifelong Alaskan of Athabascan/Norwegian/Danish and Russian descent, Kevin Bard Jensen was born in Pedro Bay, a village his grandfather settled. Kevin commercially fished Bristol Bay for 16 years, and is a lifelong subsistence user in the Iliamna Lake region. He currently serves on the local tribal council and Native Corporation, regional tribal consortium, tribal health council, and borough planning commission. He has also served on a regional association board in the capacity of Vice President.
Kevin enjoys having his "finger on the pulse" of local events, playing a part in both local and regional growth, and helping shape the future. He is excited and optimistic about the opportunity to build relationship between the lake area villages and the Pebble Partnership, and sees this position as a chance to establish improved communication and understanding.
