Facilitating and encouraging dialogue between the Pebble Partnership and regional communities surrounding the Pebble prospect, Community Associates have a first-hand knowledge of the region. 

 

Sharon Wilson

Regional Outreach Coordinator

Sharon Wilson, currently a resident of Naknek, has also lived in Anchorage and Kokhanok on the shores of Lake Iliamna.  Wilson is descended from many generations of commercial fishermen.  As the youngest of seven children she helped her mother on the set net site by washing mud from the fish.  Wilson and her family still actively participates in commercial fishing in Bristol Bay.  Wilson is also an avid basketball player.  Sharonwilson@pebblepartnership.com

 

Sarah McCarr

Sarah is the great granddaughter of Evan Chunak and Okalena Olympic, granddaughter of Mike and Mary Acovak & Evan and Oxenia McCarr, daughter of Jack McCarr and Sophie Alexie.  She grew up in Koliganek and New Stuyahok, AK.   She most recently worked for Iliamna Development Corporation as an Administrative Assistant.  She has held positions in the insurance industry, at Fairbanks Resource Agency, Rural Alaska Honors Institute, and others.  Sarah has been involved in many community, leadership, and cultural activities, including the Coalition of Student Leaders, Native Alaskan Business Leaders, and Rural Alaska Honors Institute.  She has received recognition/honors through the U.S. Achievement Academy, Gates Millennium Scholar, UA Scholar, and the National Honor Roll, to name just a few.  SarahMcCarr@pebblepartnership.com
